Getting up early isn’t always easy, but carving out this time has helped me to become stronger and more resilient across all areas of my life.
After having my daughter, I found it impossible to go to the gym any more. Childcare was always an issue. I did have a home gym but, after having a child, made room for her and gave up my gym space.
I have always enjoyed exercise but was looking for something that I could do at home that combined great music with challenging and varied exercises. I had experienced LES MILLS at various gyms so was aware of it, but loved how much it had diversified over the years.
I’m an IT professional and work full time so my routine involves working out before work. Most weeks I manage to do this five times a week. This, for me, works beautifully, as I believe in doing the most important things first; and this is the most important thing for me both physically, and mentally.
After years of back pain, finding out that I have arthritis in my spine was devastating. However, I’ve taken this as an opportunity to focus on strengthening my core via things like BODYBALANCE and CXWORX.
Getting up early isn’t always easy, but carving out this time has helped me to become stronger and more resilient across all areas of my life. It is also important for me to model healthy behaviour for my daughter. She has seen me working out in our lounge since she was 2 yrs old. It feels good to be a role model for her.
My days start well, and I always feel successful on the days that I work out. It’s my drug and I love it!
