Dance fitness

Dance fitness is a type of group exercise class that incorporates some or many forms of dance.

It’s an aerobic workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity. The overall intensity of a class varies depending on the style you’re doing.

Dance fitness classes offer a relaxed environment where you can really let your inhibitions go, learn some new moves and meet some great people along the way.

Why is it good for me?

Music and dance are great stress relievers, and can help to boost your confidence. You’ll also pick up some fantastic new moves you can show off on the dance floor!

Depending on the intensity of the class, it can also be a great way to get your blood pumping and keep your heart healthy.

How much does it cost?

You can usually pay as you go from around £5 per class and many instructors offer loyalty schemes, so you might get your 10th class free.

If you are taking part in your local gym or leisure centre ask them about their membership packages, these are generally better value for money if you are planning to attend two or more classes a week or want to go for a swim or hit the gym too.

What equipment do I need?

Just some trainers that fit and support you well and comfortable clothing you can move in.
