A fun, cross-discipline sport combining golf with running with a simple aim – get around the golf course in the shortest amount of time in the least number of strokes.

The skill lies in balancing your pace while managing your ability to quickly and accurately play your shots. Speedgolf is a fun, energetic and creative way to play golf and is designed to fit in with a busy lifestyle.

Speedgolf can actually lead to an enhanced golfing performance, turning 18-hole rounds into 80 minutes or 9 holes into 45 minutes or less!

Why is it good for me?

Speed golf is a cardiovascular workout. Getting out into the open can help boost your mood and reduce stress levels. As it can be played as a solo or group activity, it’s a great opportunity to have some time on your own to clear your head, or to socialise with friends and family.

How much does it cost?

Some clubs offer free taster sessions or informal training at a set fee. Not all golf courses allow speed golf, and prices will vary, so check with your local club.

What equipment do I need?

Check if there’s a dress code at your local club, you may be required to wear a collared polo shirt. You’ll need trainers suitable for running in, or golf trainers, but these must be spikeless, up to 7 golf clubs, golf balls, tees, a scorecard, pencil and watch (to record your time) and plenty of water.
